‘WEANED OFF THE WORLD’
Solo is the new ‘Squad Goals’
Have you ever noticed those scenes or pictures where a man or a woman is sitting alone in a cozy coffeehouse or a quaint, little bistro isolated from everyone else, yet they are completely satisfied with the aloneness? Where are those people? Outside of the photos, there aren’t too many people that I know who like to roll alone.
- separate, apart, or isolated from others: I want to be alone.
- unique; unequaled; unparalleled: He is alone among his peers in devotion to duty.
- solitarily; solo: She prefers to live alone.
- only; exclusively: You alone hold the key to your happiness.
I gotta admit, I, too, have wasted too much time seeking the company of others. Desiring to fill the loneliness and emptiness lead me to accept things I normally would not have like, people and/or behaviors that were outside of my place of comfort. And, before you know it, there I was with people, at places, and doing things I normally would not have. Then, having to ask myself how oh how did I get there.
Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. ~1 Corinthians 15:33
As I recollect, I now know I was looking for something to fill the void. What I thought I wanted was a company of friends, but what I needed was fellowship with the spirit. I praise YAH for the lessons, and I am ever grateful that he has taught me to be joyful and content with the fellowship of his spirit.
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers . . .
For what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
2 Corinthians 16:14 KJV
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of Yahuah unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of Elohiym.
Qolasiym (Col) 1:10 KJV
Are you looking for friendship in all the wrong places?
Don’t pass up the wonderful opportunity to draw near to YAH. As you seek him, he will fill the void and your desires for companionship. Elohiym (God) will fill your heart with such great joy. And, at the right time, his appointed time, he will send you friendships that will honor him and encourage you in your walk of faith. Trust Yahuah to send the right(eous) people into your life. Trust. . . Yahuah alone will bring in and place people, places, and things in their appropriate places in your life. Be patient; seek Elohiym (God) while you wait.
